Medway Open Award Centre  (MOAC)is a non profit organisation (CIO) and a registered charity No. 1172240

 

Medway Open Award Centre  (MOAC) has been set up by a very experienced expedition practitioner who has been managing the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) expeditions both for the local authority and the ACF for many years.

The volunteers working with  Medway Open Award Centre (MOAC) have vast experience and qualifications such as ML, WGL, Bela etc. many have been involved with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE)for over 25 years.

Medway Open Award Centre (MOAC) is supported by the Medway Panel who have been the background organisation in Medway that have provided the equipment that young people have borrowed which has enabled many 1000’s of young people to complete their expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) at Bronze, Silver and Gold

Medway Open Award Centre (MOAC) is run from a dedicated centre at the Stand Leisure Park in Gillingham, it serves all young people from Gillingham, Rochester, Chatham as well as outlying areas as Strood, Rainham Walderslade, Lordswood etc.

The Medway Open award Centre (MOAC) has the equipment store on site that enables young people to borrow kit for their expedition section such as tents, rucksacks and trangias .
